Jeremiah Moore was born and raised in Lamar, Colorado, and graduated from Lamar High School. After exploring business management in high school and at Pueblo Community College, he realized this was not his calling. Mr. Moore moved to Greeley and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Interdisciplinary Studies (Elementary Education). He has been teaching elementary school at Platte Valley Elementary School in Kersey, Colorado for the past eleven years as a classroom teacher and reading and math intervention teacher. He also earned a Master of Arts Degree in Literacy from UNC in Greeley and a Specialist in Education Degree in Educational Leadership from Arkansas State University in Jonesboro. Serving on district and school leadership teams, leading professional development, and presenting at the Colorado Council of the International Reading Association speak to his passion for learning.

Jeremiah Moore believes that educators have a unique career that impacts all other careers. Students and staff must be held to high standards and given support to meet those standards. AP Moore believes that educators help students dream, believe in themselves and their future, and achieve more than they expected. As the assistant principal of Giberson Elementary, Mr. Moore will model a lifelong learning. He believes relationships are of utmost importance. He will work tirelessly to build relationships with students, staff, families, and the community. These relationships will enhance our school and help our students achieve more. He is excited to have joined the Giberson family, meeting the students, families, and staff at Giberson.

On a personal note, Mr. Moore is getting married in May! He and his future wife, Kristin, are excited about their move to Colorado Springs. They enjoy exploring Colorado, especially the mountains. Whenever he has some spare time, Mr. Moore loves to read, especially his favorite genres historical fiction and young adult fiction. He also enjoys a nice outdoor bike ride with an interesting podcast.
